THE EDUCATION PILLAR

Education in the Madison REIA consists of two modalities of learning - classroom or "book" learning, and coaching / mentoring / mastermind.  We feel that both are necessary to build confidence and success.  There's no magic here; no reveals of secret information; there's not one weird trick, and scientists are not astonished at the results.  It's simply the practical application of specific knowledge.

Check out these specialized and advanced networking and training opportunities...

ASPIRING INVESTORS

Wonder where and how to start?  The Madison Aspiring Investor Luncheon is a small, intimate gathering of people who want to find out more about real estate investing.

You have to apply to join the group, and we keep the membership at 15 people.  You get one-on-one time with top investors from the Madison REIA where you can ask questions and get direct answers about the process.

ADVANCED INVESTORS

We convene a small, elite team of accomplished investors once per month for an early morning breakfast.  In this meeting, we take on the issues of others in the group, and discuss diverse topics.

There's an application process involved, and we keep the membership at 15 people to be maximally productive.  If you meet the criteria of an accomplished or seasoned investor, you may want to apply for the next open spot.

THE REI BLUEPRINT

The Real Estate Investor Blueprint series is our premier practical classroom training program.  It is presented online 24 x 7 x 365, and includes training on Rehabbing, Wholesaling, and Rentals.

Seven (7) three-hour classroom sessions are presented that include all the PowerPoint slides and all the legal forms, spreadsheets, and reference documents that we use or talk about.

Twice per year - spring and fall - we re-record each session by hosting a live classroom workshop for 3 hours on Wednesday evenings where about 35 students are in attendance interacting with the instructors

Four times per year, we host an all-day property tour that features 6 or 7 houses houses in various states of rehab.  During this tour students learn how to apply the training from the training sessions.  We've been told that these tours are highly valuable "hands-on" work.

THE COACHING PROGRAM

Imagine a world where would-be surgeons went through four years of college education, then opened shop somewhere and started cutting on people.  Not the way it works, right?  Thankfully.

Those surgical interns spend years in the operating room with experienced attending surgeons being shown how to do it.  The master with experience is not only an educator, he or she is also a safety net for the student.

We're not saying that real estate investing is brain surgery, but you get the analogy - someone with book knowledge also needs hands-on training with an experienced master.

In this business, it is frequently the difference between a good payday and the bad outcome of financial catastrophe, even if that means walking away from a deal that looks too good to be true.

THE HOW-TO GUIDE

Want some light reading on how to do this real estate investing stuff?  We have a how-to guide that explains the process from the 3,000-foot view.  There's lots of helpful tools and techniques in these sections and, while we give you as much detail as is possible in these short written tomes, there's a lot that we can't explain here.

The Guide is also a work in progress, so it's obviously not complete, and we've updated it a few times to keep up with things.  If nothing else, you'll start to understand some of the language and the processes that we use.
